Hartbeats run workshops for schools and community groups such as Scouts and Guides, as well as for various clubs and societies. Students learn the percussion techniques, songs and African rhythms by gradually building their knowledge and then putting them together into a structured piece of music, sometimes culminating in a grand finale performance.

school-drumWe can provide an introductory one-off workshop or a course of lessons. All ages and abilities are catered for, with all instruments provided of a suitable quality and authentically sourced. Please get in touch for more details.

Getting percussive en masse is a great way to motivate people, creating a buzz and providing a memorable experience of unity and camaraderie. This fun and effective way to break the ice and team-build will have your staff or group playing together, strengthening their receptivity and awareness of each other in the process.

We aim to:

  • Build confidence
  • Relax people and release tension
  • Energise the individual and group
  • Provide encouragement and support
  • Break down culture, gender and age barriers
  • Exercise positive communication and listening skills
  • Motivate and direct creative energy to a common goal
  • Show that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts

Hartbeats can tailor workshops for any size of company or occasion, from one-to-one sessions to large extended events, and has a vast repository of percussion instruments available to cater for larger groups. Please contact us with your specific requirements.
